Production: Finishing Production Day 1

Hello blog! As I mentioned before, we had to schedule an additional short filming day because our camera battery died during Production Day 1. Although adding another day at the last minute was a bit challenging, we all understood how important it was to finish filming as soon as possible. This second day was fairly brief, as most of the work we completed was similar to what we had already done on the first day.

Fortunately, we were able to use some class time to film the remaining scenes. We made sure to record at a similar time of day so that the lighting would match our earlier footage as closely as possible. However, the weather on this day was more gloomy compared to the first day, which affected the brightness and overall tone of our shots.

Because of this, we plan to adjust the clips during editing to better match the lighting from Production Day 1. We will use color correction to brighten the footage and create a more consistent look throughout the scene. Below are some of the clips we captured that will need editing in order to achieve the bright and natural lighting style we originally aimed for.

Overall, these final scenes turned out to be quite successful. Even though it was frustrating that the camera died during filming, we were still able to adapt and make it work by scheduling an extra day. In the end, everything came together well, and we were able to capture the remaining shots we needed.

This experience also taught us the importance of being prepared for unexpected problems during production. Despite the small setback, we stayed organized and worked efficiently to complete our filming. As a result, we were able to finish strong and stay on track with our project.
