Camera Movement
Learning about camera movements was both interesting and enjoyable. Although it required a lot of memorization and practice, it really helped me view movies and shows from a different perspective. For the Camera Movement Project, we were given the word "surprise" and asked to create a short video with a plot of our choice.Doing this project helped me understand the different camera movements better since I could visually see and understand them.The biggest challenge for us was brainstorming how to effectively incorporate the six assigned camera movements into our short film. Even though we struggled at first, once we began filming, we worked very well together and completed everything on time.Throughout this project I feel like I understood the Camera movements more and remembered them better.Overall, I believe we did an excellent job on this project. If I were to change one thing for the future, I would make the video more descriptive and detailed to better capture the story.
Camera Shot
At first, camera shots were confusing for me, especially since we had just learned about camera movements as well. However, this project really helped me gain a clearer understanding of camera shots. Since we were responsible for filming the shots it allowed me to truly see the differences between them in practice.For this assignment, we were tasked with telling a narrative story using only objects. I think our group developed a strong plot and incorporated all 15 required camera shots effectively. The main challenge we faced was that the objects we used were very small, which made it difficult to capture certain shots. Despite that, we managed to make it work.This project not only helped me visually recognize different camera shots but also made it easier for me to memorize them. If I were to change anything in the future, I would manage my time more efficiently. I believe we could have completed this project in one class period instead of taking two. Overall, I think our project was well-planned, thoughtfully executed, and successful.
